The fan site has become a bit of a deadweight for me. I've managed the site for nearly 5 years from it's inception right until the present day.

It's now time for change, possibly passing the baton to someone more equipped and more dedicated. Or, it could be run by you, the fans and visitors.

There's also the possiblilty of transforming this into an Arctic Monkeys portal.

Somewhere you come to blog, somewhere you come to discuss and somewhere to keep up with the latest band news, all automated, all current and up to date.

The guys were on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross last night and you can see them in all their hairyness by using the BBC's iPlayer (UK only). They played two songs (starts on the 52nd minute), Cornerstone and Crying Lightning.

Arctic Monkeys received the award for Best Live Act. They were up againt The Prodigy, U2, Oasis, Kasabian, Blur and Take That. There is a exclusive interview and photos available in this months issue of Q.

Arctic Monkeys have confirmed details of a second show at London's Wembley Arena.

The band have already confirmed one show at Wembley Arena, now confirming another for the London stadium. Announced via their official website, the group will play Wembley Arena on November 17th and 18th.

Arctic Monkeys are pleased to announce a UK & Irish tour in November 2009. This is the band's first UK tour since December 2007, and will see the band playing tracks from their 3rd album, 'Humbug' as well as their two previous LP's.

The band shall be joined by special guests, Eagles of Death Metal. Tickets will be priced at £29.50.

There will be an exclusive pre-sale to members of the Arctic Monkeys website that will begin at 9am on Wednesday 9th September 2009.

Humbug was released yesterday to the mass markets. If you were naughty enough to illegally download it shame on you. But now you have the chance to own the thing for yourself!

So get down to your local record store, on-line retailer or the man on the corner and get your copy now!

The band have hidden some Leeds and Reading tickets in their new single Crying Lightning.

Two 7" singles which will be sold in Oxfam will apparently contain a code allowing them to access tickets to the festival.

There will also be forty signed singles (also sold in Oxfam) and each vinyl bought will include a code to download the MP3 for free (which is a great idea by the way).

So watch out on the 17th (tomorrow) and grab your single!
