also, what about the 12 yard box and the 6 yard box in football. that would destroy football if it was the 8 metre box

arrrrrrrrrrggggggggggghhhhhhhh, metric measures!!!

imperial measurements all the way. so that is 5'3". thats better

come on, the metric system is was easier than the inches and all that...
like, a foot is 11 inches, why is that?? :milton:
the metric system is clearer... and i' m taller with it

12 inches.

Metric or Imperial... calculates the same stupid stuff. You just have to go with both... that's what we learned in Engineering anyway... we did convertion.

But personnally, I like kilometers per hour, but i prefer heights in feet and inch and all the other distance measurements. Tho when you say "that city is a mile away" tells me just as much as "that city is 2 km away" which tells me nothing! haha! I always have to see how much time away it is... like in my car, how long it would take me to actually get there....

so none of those system is perfect... Except for someone who's always used only one.

At school, one of our teachers once told us that the Nasa probably does errors because of convertion of either distance, strength or anything like that... at the extreme they could plan on sending a satellite around mars, but end up around Jupiter....

Back to measurement thing: i don't really prefer either way, it's just i never understood feet/inches/yards/miles, i don't know when to use what and how much they are, so that's why i stick to the metric system. It' simpler for me.

2.54 cm = 1 inch
12 inches = 1 foot = 30.48 cm
1 yard = 3 feet = 36 inches = 91.44 cm
1 mile = 1760 yards = 5 280 feet = 63 360 inches = 160 934.4 cm
You get a better understanding now? :milton:

Interesting fact there Scott... that means that Audi's engineers are more creative and better innovators than the Nasa's... ouuuuuuh....

Thanks  that was actually quite helpful and i thought a yard was about the same as 1 kilometer
