arctic monkeys collaboration with the kills?

Postby Glyn Jones » Wed Jul 02, 2008 9:01 am

Alex Turner has revealed that he has been working on a song with The Kills' Alison Mosshart.

Speaking to XFM, Turner said that the song was named 'The Fire And The Thud'. He said that the song was written and recorded by Turner before Mosshart added her vocals separately.

Mosshart revealed that she hadn't heard the finished song herself, but Turner himself claimed, "It's good - it's really good'.

However, it was unclear whether the pair were being entirely serious, or exaggerating details of a possible hook-up.

The duo did, however, go on to consider the chances of further collaboration, commenting that there may be the chance of more tracks being recorded together in the future.

(i also read it in the daily rag that it would be released as a EP i dont know how much truth there is in it, it is possibele i suppose they are both on the domino label it might just be a joke though, hope not cause the kills are cool as f**k 8))

mosshart sings on the recorded version of 'paris summer' a nancy sniatra song that the last shadow puppets covered at most dates of their tour.
the woman from ipso facto sang it with them on tour, but the recorded version, available from itunes, has allison mosshart singing.
although i hate ipso facto, rosalie cunningham sings it better.
"this one's called separate and ever shut the fuck up"
"are you big nige?"
"might be..."
;)
"is it your birthday?! oh, happy birthday!"
