Arctic Monkeys for Mercury Music prize

Postby arctic » Tue Jul 17, 2007 10:01 pm

The band have once again been nominated for the prize a second time after releasing "Favourite Worst Nightmare".

In 2006's Mercury Music Prize the band won the award after beating the likes of Richard Hawley, The Editors and Muse.

Could the Arctic Monkeys be the first ever band to receive the award twice?
It may be difficult with the competiton made up of popular acts such as The View, Dizzee Rascal and even the Klaxons.

The winners will be announced on Tuesday 4th September.

I think they'll win again.

Though strong competition against Klaxons and Jamie T.
