Arctic Monkeys EP ready for release....

Postby arctic » Mon Mar 13, 2006 10:21 pm

The band released details last week of a forthcoming EP and will feature 4 new songs to add to the growing need for Arctic Monkeys material.

The songs mentioned by the band are <b>Leaving Before The Lights Come On'</b>, which the band previewed on their recent UK tour, <b>'Do Me a Favour'</b> - "The further adventures of the girl in 'Mardy Bum' - my ex," according to Alex Turner -<b>'Three Episodes Where Someone Else Got In The Way'</b> and <b>'I Wish You Would Have Smiled In The Bakery'.</b>

This EP however, will be ineligable for the charts due to the limit of tracks released must be 3, and no more. As the EP features 5 tracks, it will mean that the bands third release will not be another number one which closes the chance of a hat-trick of releases.

"We're going to finish the new songs, then we're going to record them, then we're going to play them live and stick them on a CD," said bassist Andy Nicholson.

"It's probably going to be an external player, I'm not joking, five songs, and it's hopefully going be out in April. Fingers crossed."

Keep checking for the release date soon.

aye that will be quality.

i can relate to the smiling in bakery song as we end up there very drunk on numorous occasions so would be funny to sing at the bakery ladies LOL
And how could you wake up,
With someone you don't love,
And not feel slightly phased by it?
