it would be a good idea but egotistical

Who in the world uses that word in context?
At least if your going to try and sound good use capitals and punctuation, then I'd believe you actually enjoy using that word :milton:

agreed, but over bands do it, oasis, libertines, etc etc, but in different ways to amount a bigger fortune, cos remember there is a certain point in a bands career, where they forget about the fans and think right lets make some real cash out of this.

What the hell are you on about?
What media stuff?

As far as I know they have released more music than any other band I know of aswell as AVOIDING the media spotlight.

Have I missed something for the past year? :milton:

also they have only released 2 songs from the album. and are always writing new material, its a step forward unlike kooks and kaiser cheifs that exploit the bands fanbase by selling too many singles knowing they will buy.

That's true. There's no point in releasing like 7 singles on a 13 track album. It's just milking it for all it's worth. All you really need is one good song, and everyone will buy it and hear all your songs.

I like how the monks are rolling along. And if that brownie is talking about Scummy Man, that didn't really promote the band at all, just there music. It's just a movie., so I don't know what you mean either.

still IMO i think that they should have released Mardy Bum and Dancing Shoes - the world needs to hear them, they are classic songs that would do very well as singles...

4 singles from an album isn't unreasonable and it would have meant more B-Sides, possibly re-recordings of Demo songs that we all love

I suppose they could have just HIT us with songs.
I.e released 4 songs in a short space of time.
While they were on tour just release singles for the heck of it. Get it over and done with. But then again it could strecth the album and wear off it's exclusivity.

Mardy Bum's probably my least favorite song. Don't know why, but I got sick of it really quick. I love everything else more and more everytime I hear it, but Mardy Bum went in reverse. I used to love it.
