The Oasisification of the Monkeys...

Postby NW6 Casual » Thu May 04, 2006 7:32 pm

Is it just me or has the crowd at recent Monkeys gigs become slightly more hostile and aggressive over recent months. The atmosphere at Brixton recently is certainly not what i have come to expect and was witness to a ridiculous amount of antagonism and fisticuffs in the Plan B nightclub afterwards.

Perhaps not, maybe its just me getting soft in my old age. Any thoughts?

Regards lads...

yeah....but you just need to say that they are more hostile and not make more comparisons.....too many are made, especially to oasis!!
And how could you wake up,
With someone you don't love,
And not feel slightly phased by it?

I wasnt comparing the music or any member of the Monkeys to Oasis I was purely comparing the crowd. Oasis have a reputation for attracting slightly "over-zealous" fans. From my most recent experience of the monkeys I think it is a fair and accurate comparison. Do hope it dies out though as a visit to an Oasis gig these days can be quite a threatening experience.

No offense was intended though mate....
