Going back to July, 100,000 people over a two day weekend went to see the Arctic Monkeys at Manchesters Lancashire County Cricket Club.
The sun was shining, the beer was aplenty and the music was great.
However, there was a sinister problem at the stadium as hundreds of people were found to be urinating on the pitch due to long toilet queues.
Hampshire wicketkeeper Nic Pothas said: "The smell on the outfield was diabolical, and it was obviously stale wee."
The Arctic Monkeys, fronted by singer Alex Turner, played two gigs on the outfield a fortnight ago to 50,000 fans each night.
Nic Pothas added: "A couple of the Lancashire players went to them and told us they’d never seen so many people relieving themselves.
"Men were peeing into empty pint glasses and emptying the contents on the outfield, and women were squatting to pee due to long toilet queues.
"The main worry for the fielding side was when it came to having to shine the ball."
Hampshire's chairman Rod Bransgrove said: "It was quite a whiff. We’ve complained to the England and Wales Cricket Board."
Lancashire CC said: "The outfield doesn't look good, but we think it's down to heavy rain."
