went on sunday not the saturday.

was a riot at the front, really mad moshing. superb gig but....

i think they are up there own arses now, they went off stage than came back for an encore, there arctic monkeys not bon jovi! they didnt play mardy bum or a certain romance at the end like they usually do, everyone was really suprised. nettles is a tune. alex seemed to get pissed off with all the sweets that were getting thrown around, maybe thats why. they looked good as a five piece when miles kane came on to play a couple of songs. shit venue, wouldnt go there again, the girl i went with, lost her shoes so i had to give her mine as we walked 2 miles to the nearest station!!!! long!

when they played if you were there beware, i swear i was gonna die, there was this cirlce about 20m wide and everyone was just waiting for the drop, madness....

cant imagine them not playing a certain romance as the final song ... seems wrong in a way. guess i will have to get over that if i'm going to go to any gigs in the future (which i hopefully will) and not feel slightly disappointed.
but apart from that it does sound quite brilliant, even if the monks were as arrogant as ever :milton:
too bad about the shoes. hopefully they weren't her favourites.

it was worth it, i loved the gig, but the venue is poor, terrible location, it has put me off going. would of been easier to play brixton academy 2 nights running, or even earls court

whats all the fuss?

Postby lemony2j » Fri Jan 11, 2008 8:05 pm

whats all the fuss about guys??? these lads have been playing the same songs every night more or less for the past year i reckon their probably sick of a certain romance to be honest.i think fair play to them for mixing it up a bit and writing and playing new tunes while theyre on the road. i was there and my only complaint was to the twats pushing over girls.best arctic monkeys gig i've been to and sandtrap sounded quality...would love to hear it again
