Glastonbury 2007

Postby arctic » Fri Jun 22, 2007 11:20 pm

The Arctic Monkeys have performed in front of their biggest crowd to date, in their first performance at Glastonbury tonight menacing through their massive setlist in what could be the best Arctic Monkeys performance to date.

The 70+ minute long set even featured an amazing cover of Shirley Basseys "Diamonds Are Forever", a classic James Bond theme song.

Keep watching BBC2 over the next few days aswell as pressing your red button to see the band performing live.

-------------------------------------

The Arctic Monkeys are performing on the Pyramid stage which is now being aired on BBC2 (UK) and will also be available on-demand via the red button for digital viewers.

There is also the added rumour that Dizzee Rascal will be making a special appearence for "Temptation Greets You Like Your Naughty Friend" which was a b-side on the Brianstorm single.

Edit: Dizzee performed with the band at Glastonbury during the song.

Wow! :D
I watched the entire show on television, it was GREAT!
An entire concert!

Temptation was great, you could see Alex and Jamie really enjoying the fact Dizzee was there. Was over quick though.
Then Alex kicked into "Diamonds are forever". Pretty good cover!
"It only happens once, ladies and gentlemen, a Glastonbury special!"

And to top it all off, they played 505!! :D
In front of THAT many people, really really good.

Loved it!
I REALLY hope someone recorded it.

Cheerio

No problem. Ripped it myself, from the bbc broadcast. I've missed Brianstorm and while they were playing DMAF my recorder suddenly stopped, missed 30sec of it, so I think it's better to wait until someone comes up with the whole rip.
